Description
The campus smart card serves as the core carrier of a smart campus in universities. Based on CPU smart chips and encrypted networks, it integrates identity authentication, consumption payment, and campus management. It replaces multiple types of credentials such as student ID cards, meal cards, and access cards, enabling “one card to access the campus”.
1. Core positioning
Digital identities and electronic wallets for all teachers and students are standard tools for campus informatization, permeating the entire learning, living, and office scenarios, enabling data interoperability, efficient management, and convenient services.
II. Main forms
• Physical card: Printed with real name, including name, student ID, photo, chip, and RF antenna, ready for use by swiping offline.
• Electronic card: Bind to campus APP/WeChat/Alipay, support scanning code and face recognition, interoperate with physical card functions, and synchronize balance.
III. Three core functions
1. Identity authentication
The library card, dormitory/teaching building/laboratory access card, examination room verification, attendance sign-in, venue reservation, and student status verification are the only official identity credentials on campus.
2. Consumer payment
For small-value transactions such as dining in the cafeteria, shopping at the supermarket, laundry, drinking water, showering, printing and copying, paying dormitory utilities, seeking medical treatment on campus, and paying exam registration fees, cashless payment is safer.
3. Management services
Integrating with educational administration, student work, finance, and library systems, it supports functions such as cash recharge, online loss reporting, bill inquiry, score inquiry, maintenance registration, and subsidy distribution, ensuring unified and traceable data.
IV. Technology and Safety
Utilizing CPU chips and encryption algorithms, data is stored in partitions and encrypted throughout the entire transaction process, ensuring tamper resistance, anti-fraud, and information leakage prevention. It supports multiple authentication methods such as card swiping, QR code scanning, and facial recognition, balancing convenience and security.
V. Use and Management
• New students will receive a card upon registration, with their personal information bound to their real name
• Recharge: Load machine, mobile APP, bank deduction
• Loss reporting/card replacement: Online self-service loss reporting, and card replacement by the card service center
• Balance and records: Real-time inquiry, transparent and traceable consumption
VI. Core Values
For teachers and students: multiple uses with one card, no need to carry multiple cards, cashless, and convenient in all scenarios.
For schools: unified identity, data sharing, streamlined management, and enhanced security and efficiency are the key foundations for building a smart campus
